Contribute an asset
Anyone can add an object to the archive. Contributed assets are listed under your name and licensed CC BY 4.0.
What to upload
One .zip (up to 200 MB) containing one folder in NVIDIA's SimReady layout:
<asset_name>/simready_usd/sm_<asset_name>_01.usd
<asset_name>/simready_usd/textures/...
All references (sublayers, payloads, textures) must point inside the folder. Thumbnails are optional; we render our own.
At launch the archive accepts rigid and articulated objects (both have an NVIDIA SimReady profile to validate against). Articulated objects need real joints with limits. Deformable contributions (textiles, soft objects) will open later.
Before you upload
Run NVIDIA's validator locally:
pip install simready-validate simready-foundation-tier-core
simready-validate --profile Robotics-Prop --version 4.0.0 <asset_name>/simready_usd/sm_<asset_name>_01.usd
What happens next
- Your upload is checked automatically: the NVIDIA validator, then physics, size, label and content (see How we check assets). This usually takes a few minutes.
- You get a status page with the full report. If something fails, it says what to fix.
- Assets that pass are reviewed by a person and, once approved, published with your name and link.
Rules
- You must own the asset or have the right to license it, and you agree to license it under CC BY 4.0.
- No logos, brand marks, text or copies of commercial products.
- No meshes from generative 3D tools whose terms restrict reuse.
- We may decline any submission. Your email is used only to contact you about it and is never shown.
